I've noticed that when you use Add View, the resulting view has a 2:1 aspect ratio, but if you use the Export to CC command in the View window to export the view it is a 1:1 aspect ratio of the center of the view. Is there any way to get the view to be 1:1 in the first place or to export as a 2:1?

I think the proportions of the view you export are controlled by what is visible at the time you export it.

But I only think that. One of the others who use FT more frequently than I do might confirm or correct that information.

Proportions of views are always 2:1 no matter how you select it. But when you export the view it is 1:1.

Do you mean this route?

If so, then yes - you are correct about the 1:1 thing.

However, if you just use the View to get to the right place in the map and then use Save as Campaign Cartographer file

You should get the correct area.

Thanks for raising this issue. I wasn't aware of it till you mentioned it.

EDIT: Incidentally, if you change the shape of the FT window the exported map (as long as you do it from the File menu) will be whatever proportion you have set the window to.
