missing fill in Jon Roberts Cities

a fill has gone walkies from the above template and before I start poking around i’d like to know where to poke around. For anyone interested, its the Walls, Dyke fill. I don’t think a fill from anywhere else would sit comfortably in the map tho I am happy to be proven wrong.

When you say it's missing, is it showing as red crosses?

  • no, it doesnt show in the dropdown list. it has got a solid dark purple colour instead.

It looks like the dyke fill is set to solid purple by default, And I am not finding a dyke fill in @Bitmaps\Tiles\City\CA63 Jon Roberts Cities.

  • yes, thats what i have. I have a horror of poking in anywhere unless I know exactly where and what I have to go to sort it out.

Relyt is correct. There is no Walls, Dyke fill, but there is a Walls, Dyke drawing tool.

The tool draws 2 polygons on two sheets called WALLS DIKE Backing, and WALLS DIKE that don't exist in the template. One of these is drawn in purple and the other in a CD3 fill called CD3B_Grass Bright 1

Given the lack of the correct sheets in the template, and the location of the fill, at a guess this drawing tool has been included in the style template either by mistake, or as a much later decision. At any rate, it looks like it's supposed to draw a dyke in a grass texture over a grass texture with a bevel effect, making the purple backing sheet necessary to prevent transparency acne. You could get it to work in this style with some fiddling around - set the fill on the Outline Properties to be one of the native grass fills, use the tool, put the 2 new sheets in the correct order in the sheets list and add a bevel effect to the WALLS DIKE sheet.

    No problem :)

Look - I managed to get it to work here. I can't think how to give you the updated drawing tool easily and it end up in the correct place, but this FCW now has the right sheets and effects.

All you need to do to your own drawing tool is replace that CD3B fill with the native grass fill and save it.

    EDIT: We could try this...

Unzip this drawing tool into the folder ProgramData\Profantasy\CC3Plus\System\Drawtools\Annual Jon Roberts Cities and you should end up with a duplicate of the Walls, Dyke drawing tool with my name as the suffix. That one will work in the FCW I shared above.
