The Royal Scribe concurs that "Perilous" is spelled correctly, unless the source material does something unconventional. (I know Narnia had a castle named Cair Paravel and Forgotten Realms has a Castle Perilous but I wasn't sure whether this was your own or drawn from something else.)
This is an entirely 'made up as I went along’ map, I was experienting using Ralf’s Pencil Sketch template, before I start a map for the Atlas, not that I’ll be using that template.
I’ve started one using Jon Robert’s overland style but as I’ve got my eye on other locations I may well do a pencil sketch or a handrawn one -- and yes you are biased Wyvern!🤣
It's a useful style for creating a rough idea of what I want to map, but somewhat limited in symbols. I like the idea of doing a sketch with this style and a more detailed version in another, with this style on hand to give to adventurers when the time is right. I love the idea of using this pencil sketch style for a map handed to adventurers by some weary ranger in a tavern who has scrawled out a quick idea of where the adventurers need to go -- while omitting many of the perils they'll encounter on the way.
Great thoughts - I usually pencil out my drafts; but I think this has convinced me to start working my drafts out in C3 . This has a double advantage: being able to hand out a rough map to players and more time working in C3 usually means learning more!

The spelling is correct as far as I can see.

Why not use this style? It's a perfectly fine, and rather underused one, especially in the Atlas.
Though I do have a fondness for black-and-white styles in general, so am probably biased 😉!
