Broken Stuff
So going through everything and doing my spreadsheet I have noticed some broken and damaged things.
So this is by left clicking the Symbol Catalogue. Then navigating to the following destinations.
Are these problems the same for any of you?
Dungeons - Annual Geomorphs - Cartographers Annual 39 Example 2 Red X's appear on the symbols???? That's new to me.
Dungeons - Dungeon Designers 3 - Cartographers annual 19 light sources Red X's appear on the symbols.
Dungeons - Naomi VanDoren - All.FSC When selecting ALL.FSC, only cartouches and scale bars appear, not the entire collection of symbols. All the other mini collections are fine.
There also lots of instances when I open a folder, there is artwork, but no symbols xxxx.FSC

No. No red X's in those symbol catalogs. (I assume you wrote those paths a "freehand", because while I have the catalogs you refer to, the path doesn't match 100%, like the DD3 folder is named DD3, not Dungeon Designer 3. If those paths match 100% what you have, you most likely have some custom setup there. Also, if your DD3 folder is indeed renamed to Dungeon Designer that would explain the red X's, as your paths would no longer match what is stored in the .fsc files. In any case, it seems to be an issue with your DD3 install)

Yea. Mine is the same. I rarely use the all catalogs, so I never noticed. I guess Ralf forgot to build it properly before making the installer.

That usually means you have dug too deep.
Usually, artwork is always stored in a subfolder below the .fcs file location. It is normally not stored in the same folder as the artwork.
That's my bad, I should have used the exact path, wasn't sure if I'd lose people.
Here are images with the paths. In order from the post above.
Your DD3 installation seems to be missing a lot of stuff. Here's what that location should look like
It looks like you maybe don't actually have DD3 installed at all just some random folders that have come with various annuals.
Hmmm that's weird. I have two copies of Dungeon Designer.
I will re-download and see what's what. The ICON does appear on my CC3+ interface. I posted that picture just a few days ago.
I just downloaded again and didn't add anything.
Going to uninstall and try again.
Delete and re-install fixrd the missing pieces.
That was so weird.
The ICON does appear on my CC3+ interface.
Note that the toolbar isn't a trusted source for what's installed when it comes to DD3 and CD3. That is because the basic functionality now comes along with CC3+ itself, so everyone have basic dungeon and city stuff, which also means they need the icons to switch to the relevant menus.
Wow I was under the assumption if you had the icon, you had installed the product.
Is there any command to list all the installed products. (maybe I'll just download everything one more time LOL)
I know asking how many folders and files would be a no go, due to how many things get customised during use of the program.
Thanks for your time and expertise as always.
The best way to check installed products is using the installed apps in the Windows settings. CC3+ itself isn't really aware what a product even is, because all the installers does is to add more files to the relevant folders.
To check inside CC3+, you kind of have to know what is supposed to be there. Do you have the expected templates for the product for example? Or the expected symbol catalogs. Try loading up an example file belonging to the product, is it full of red X'es?
The windows app was the best route to go, I grabbed my humble bundle spreadsheet and went through them one by one and found a few missing cluprits.
Thanks again for the insights. Now I have to go through all of those to catalogue any missed symbol sets.
