Harshandatt

i thought id share the current state of one of the maps i'm working on.
it's based on the map from greater harad for merp and about 4 maps from the old yahoo merp group.
the geography and locations wheren't always consitant with each other, and didn't match some information presented in the Harshandatt fan module.
so i've done some tweaking to hopefully make it more consistant. the geograhy of the highlands has been tweaked so it more closely matches the elevations on my continental elevation map.
i thought it might be finished in the early part of this year, but maybe the end of the year is more realistic
Comments
the map below shows it's relationship to other maps i've done.
its's also my rough plan for further maps, that will link everything togethor.
That's quite a project!
You've done some good work on it :)
funny story.
it was going to be a map of the mirror of fire. basically blank with mirror of fire written in the centre.
but i thought i really need to define how big an area it covers.
so i started putting together the rough map above.
thats when i realised i wasn't happy with how the harshandatt maps where fitting together. with each other and the region as a whole. so i decided i needed something more definitive.
6 months or so later, mirror of fire map had turned into harshandatt map
Projects have a tendency to grow like that.
Whats wonderful about Camapaign Cartographer 3+ is that you will be able to isolate all the sheets on those maps. Copy all the landmasses. Then stictch them together to make a master map. You could probably stitch the whole maps together as well. Might be a bit slow if you have to many elements on them though.
Looks pretty cool, a bit more colour would punch it up a bit.
i've added some water to the sea
well it looking like it's almost finished. but there are some jobs still to do.
finish the large forest
theres the road i the top left, i'm not happy with. though it fits with a predefined trade route.
add some colour to represent vegetation
recheck the borders for the different areas. these aren't visible on this map
sit back, relax, look for anything i've missed
i'm more or less happy with how this is looking now.
i had trouble pin pointing some locations mentioned in the source material; due to conflicting descriptions in the text and on the source maps. so i just went with what felt right
and the version with the borders mentioned in a previous post
Awesome!
