Using Fractal Terrains to make a flat world?
I am working on a world map for my home tabletop/writing setting, and for the longest time I have rolled with the idea that it is a flat world. Not completely flat, as it is dome shaped and has a horizon similar to earth, yet is only about 20% the surface area of Earth.
I am want to use fractal terrains for this because of the extreme level of control I can have over terrain and elevations. However, it obviously assumes a spherical planet.
Is there a good way to make a flat world and use wilbur to do erosion and whatnot, I don't see much talk about this on the forums, so I apologize in advance if it has already been figured out elsewhere.
Is there maybe a better program to do this?
Should I give up on the idea of a flat world in general?

In Fractal Terrains, when you go to create a new world, there is an option to create a Flat World. I think this will accomplish what you want.
Ooops, just looked at the Tome -- you'll want to select Planar World to create a world on a plane. Flat World create a world without elevation, where you have to add that yourself.
Wow I can't believe I didn't see that. I've been using the tome and guide for aid with city and overland not sure why I didn't think to use it for this. Thanks! I'll still leave this up so it can be googleable for anyone who looks for it in the future.
Would I be able to use wilbur with this still?
Would I be able to use wilbur with this still?
For that, I will have to defer to others. I got intimidated peeking at Wilbur and never learned how to use it.
