Trees shadows...

Hi all!

I'm experiencing disturbing bahaviours from CD3... I place on the "Vegetation Tree" sheet trees. I make use of two packs: SS2 symbols and DD3 symbols... DD3 symbols project pretty fun shadows while SS3... remain shadowless...

Am I missing (again) something?!? ** Sob **

Paul.

Are the tree symbols from SS3 on the same sheet as the DD3 tree symbols? You can check this by going to Info -> List and clicking on a DD3 tree symbol to see what sheet it is on. Then repeat the process to see what symbol the SS3 tree symbols are on. If they are on a different sheet, you can *right* click on the Change Properties button (on the left hand side of the drawing window next to the erase pencil button), select Move to Sheet from the pull down list, then select all the SS3 tree symbols, right click and say Do It and then select the sheet the DD3 tree symbols are on from the Drawing Sheets dialog box, then click OK.
  • Hi!

Actually all tree symbols are on same sheet/layer.

I also noticed that SS2:Bitmap A trees are casting shadows while SS2:Bitmap B tree don't. My drawing is using "realistic" looking symbols so I'm happy now with Bitmap A trees, but that is a surprise to see symbols don't have same behaviour...

    Thanks,

    Paul.

Pixels which are partially transparent doesn't cast a shadow (Mainly because this cause an ugly effect).
The trees in SS2B uses this to enhance the visual style of the three, but it has some drawbacks as well (The missing shadows)
  • Well, that'll learn me not to answer before looking at the actual symbols first! :)
  • Thanks for your involvements and your answer!

    Best regards,
    Paul.
