ruined walls

Apart from the Darklands City template, none of my annual issues have broken/ruined walls and I'd really like to some. The Annuals I have are volumes 10, 15, and the 2023 and 2024. Please could somebody suggest some annuals that have bitmap based symbols which meet my needs?

Unfortunately the City under Siege has broken walls and because the symbols are isometric ones, the Darklands City ones wouldn't sit happily beside the houses.

Thanks in advance.

  • Desert Oasis (2023 Annual) has building ruins. You didn't mention City Designer but if you have it, Bitmap B has ruins. CA138 (2018) is all ruins -- it's called City Ruins. But these are all very different styles and I'm not sure what type of approach you're looking for.

You mentioned that City Under Siege didn't work because it was isometric, which makes me think that a top-down Schley style would work. One option: both Cities of Schley (SS5) and Dungeons of Schley (SS4) have portions of bitmap walls that you could use to create your own ruins. (That's an approach I'm experimenting with in one of my mapping projects -- place the walls with lots of breaks, and maybe use a terrain fill over portions of them if that terrain sheet is after the symbols sheet.)

And if you do decide to put together your own ruins using Dungeon symbols, both Forest Trail (2022) and Marine Dungeons (2021) have fantastic ruined walls and debris.

Thanks @Royal Scribe. I'm after walls specificaly (sorry about spelling, just surfacing after a very long sleep). I'm trying to create a modern-ish city which has a very old part complete with a small ancient wall. I don't know where in the world you are but I'm in the UK and many very old cities have the remnants of the old stone city walls merged with the modern houses etc. I'll look at Cities and Dungeons of Schley (never thought to look at Dungeons) as well as City Ruins.

EDIT SS5 doesn't have broken walls, just nice neat complete ones.
