Finally figured out how to display my world map this way. I'm trying to make a world map in fractal terrains and took that map to produce this one. The great thing is I can see where the poles should be and which lands are likely to be cold deserts. I was fairly accurate with my continent maps except for an archipelago which I imagined to be sub tropical/temperate, but most of it would be pretty cold.

Nice, but have you tried rotating the globe a bit? I like this style of maps, but they are easier to read if you can avoid landmasses crossing the hemisphere borders.
