How does one move an existing entity to its own sheet?

Hi All,

I'm still exploring the software....

I have a map on it with a path draw in a separate layer. However, the path is in the same sheet as the grass - in background.

Is there a way to select the path and either move it to a different sheet or to a new sheet?

I want to do this so that I can make the edges of the path fade into the grass.

Go to layers. Hide all and freze all, but the layer the object is on you want to move. Click okay.

Right click properties, left side icon with different color dots and a red rectangle on it. Select 'Move to sheet'. Click on item you want to move, right click, select Do It. The sheet selector popsup. Select the sheet you want to move it to.

Click okay. Go back to layers, show all and thaw all.

Note that if you want to move a symbol, the Symbol Definition layer has to show and be thawed.

Managed to get both the compass and path moved to another sheet!

I'm pretty happy with the results I have so far - for a first map - but I'm just beginning to realise that I'm only just scratching the surface of the software

Very good work! This came out really nice.

I'd perhaps add a little dark glow on the sheet with the road to merge it a little more into the background. Just a suggestion.
