I'm mucking Around making symbols.
I'm still not sure want to do with Mountains. Top down, or just symbols.
The style I'm Using is from the annual that has the old west style.
Still a work in progress.
Here is the inspiration...
I feel like my Symbols look like a Pokémon. (Now idea the name.)

Top down for the mountains would seem the better fit for what you're trying to emulate. Plus that would save you having to draw more symbols, and just set up a drawing tool with some effects!
There's some good late 60's political commentary shown on that movie capture shot. The border to the wasteland is the border to Mexico and the capital city of the apes is Barstow, California.

I think you should use the beat up version of the statue.

Historically, homo sapiens are the only primates who are any good at spelling. Have you ever seen an ape win a spelling bee? 😉
