The Battle of Borodino

Hello everybody, I thought I'd have a go at making a map of my favourite battle, Borodino. I used the Napoleonic Battle Maps style (CA32). I used a different style for the trees, and because I 'lost' the symbol catalogue had to make the infantry and cavalry symbols myself, using the box tool. I later 'found' the catalogue. I think this is from the main day of the battle as one of the Russian fleches isn't named and has French troops in its vicinity.

I know nothing about this, but it is cool that CC3 is so useful for so many of us hobby enthusiasts.
Thanks for sharing.
Are you going to do a legend so people know what all the units are?
Hi Don,
I've just figured out to how access the Legend and will add one if I can.
However the blue are French and their allies, I think blue and white are cavalry, the solid blue are infantry. The red are the Russians and once again I think the red and white are the cavalry while the solid red are the infantry. I copied the map from another source.

What would be amazing would be Unit Crests or Flags for each of the different regimental units.
That would put the map on another level. Lots of work though
Hi Don,
I made additions. Not sure if I can find the info' or have the artistic skill to do unit crests, but I agree it would look amazing. It took me long enough to do the basic flags!
I am inspired to draw upon real earth battles to illustrate battles in my imaginary world history, using this style. Thank you for posting it.
That's perfect.....now make it animated! Just Kidding.
Very nice work
