Symbols disappear when printing

I haven't had a problem before but all of a sudden on a new map some (but not all) of the symbols that I've put in are disappearing when I try to print (to either of two printers). The symbols are disappearing from one layer (Furniture), but they disappear even if I put them into a different level. The symbols that survive are in the Symbol Definition Layer, but when I tried to put the other symbols into that layer they vanish again. Any suggestions as to what I'm doing wrong? Suggestions for fixing this?

Make sure they are on sheet Symbols.

And make sure the Symbol Definition LAYER and Symbols SHEET aren't hidden.

Okay. I've confirmed that no layers or sheets have been hidden. I've also reconfirmed that I was on the Symbols sheet and (in this latest test) the Symbols Definition layer.

I saved. As soon as I brought up the Print Drawing window the same symbols disappeared (as confirmed by moving that window to the side). Reloading the saved version comes up with the same symbols missing. What can I say, I'm baffled by this behavior. I've even tried uninstalling and reinstalling my entire CC3 suite to see if it was a corrupted installation.

Hmmm. Is it possible there is something on "top" of the symbols obscuring them from view - a land mass or floor on the wrong sheet or something?

Also, when you go to File -> Print, make sure in the Print Drawing dialog box under "View to print" that "Sheet:" is set to "(All visible sheets as one page (standard CC3 Drawing)) in the drop down box and the "COMMON prints on all" box is checked.

Well, I went home and tried redrawing from the ground up, and it works (fortunately it wasn't a very complex map). Thanks for all the suggestions and offers of help. I don't know what happened, but it isn't doing it anymore.
