Modern Maps for Marvel Game

I've been experimenting with the Modern Floorplan Bitmap A. The first is a police station in Hell's Kitchen, and some general apartments I did for a Marvel game I'm playing in, but I can use them in my game when I get round to it.

The second map has some Bitmap B symbols in it. This is a copy of a b&w map the Narrator used in the last Marvel game which I took a screen shot of and then drew the map by eye. Sometimes you see a map and just think, "I know I can do a better version of that."

When I hear the name "Hell's Kitchen" I think of a nasty dirty place like "Crime Alley" in Gotham. Your maps look a bit too clean. Does anyone know of a way to make the image a little less pristine?

If this is Hell’s Kitchen in Manhattan, it’s quite gentrified now. That said, knowing how to “dirty up” a modern map would come in handy.

A gray area over different areas. Some darker, some lighter. With a transparency.

I notice you are using "Concrete Tiles" for sidewalks. The individual tiles are 2'×2' by default so I scale them up to 5'×5'. 3'×3' might be more realistic for the sidewalks I've seen but I prefer 5' to fit in with a standard mapping grid.
