I'm taking a break from making fantasy maps and decided to mess around with Cosmographer. As a test piece I recreated one of the Alternity ship deck plans.

Nicely done.

My nitpicking self can't help but notice you stuck with the default straight line bulkheads, while the original drawing uses round shapes. Did you consider trying smooth lines instead of the default straight ones to give a more rounded look?

I find round/organic shapes sometimes a hassle to work with and it's easier for VTTs, but you're right I should try more rounded shapes (maybe a YT-1300 freighter from Star Wars is a good candidate).

In the meantime I crunched out another deck plan, a mining ship from a scenario in the introductory box set.

I recommend you split the outer hull image onto three sheets (nacelles, wings and main body) with different hull textures to determine the edges more easily. The wings sheet should appear to be below the body and nacelles.
