A quick shadows on 2023 inked ruins map

Just the trees, and a gray 248 for the shadow, directional.
I noticed the symbols, flat sheet has an outer glow on it. Not used on this map.
I realize I used trees larger than the rocks on this map, than the rocks, but if I made huge boulders, I would probably put shadows on them as well.
What do you think ?

It looks good either way, but I prefer the style without the shadows. It has more of an inked map flavour.
A bit easier on my eyes this way, but I can use it either method.
I actually prefer shadows on the trees, not elsewhere though
I think shadows look good with this style, as long as they're not too dark.
Started to use 20% opacity shadows for trees, walls and buildings on my "trial map".
They are on Symbols, trees, and 50%, color 248. About a medium gray.
