Selecting an inserted image as an entity

I am trying to work with TRACED or CONTOURSM. I've read several forum posts and have been following https://rpgmaps.profantasy.com/leveraging-the-new-features-of-cc3-update-16/. Everything makes sense, except the part about selecting the image. I don't see how I do that. Clicking on the image does nothing. Trying the edges of the map gets me other entities, but not the image. What am I missing?

If the image has transparent areas click on the boundary between transparent and opaque, or on the outer edge of the image. Selection in CC3 doesn't work the same way as in a bitmap app. You have to find the edge.

If you are finding it difficult to hit the edge without selecting other objects try hiding all the other sheets first.
