Solid disappears after changing Fill Style

Hi, I'm using the buttons down the right hand side of the drawing area because I find the DRAWTOOLS panel a problem from time to time but when I want to revert to solid again it isn't always there - there's Solid 10 but not Solid. It’s a real nuisance as it pulls me out of my map making!

Are you looking in the right tab of the fill style dialog? If you see "Solid 10", that indicates you are looking at the "bitmap files" tab of the fill style dialog, while "Solid" is on the "Brush Patterns" tab.
