Hi,

I'd like input regarding the screenshot below. I'm using the Erlan Worlds template, and I've just screenshot the tiny amount I've done and switched off the background so I can focus on the land.

Please could someone tell me how the Color Key works - or at least how to punch a hole through a sheet to reveal the sheet below works? I have achieved it once as a fluke, and being a fluke, I don't know which keys my wayward fingers touched and in what order.

Looks good! :)

Add a Color Key sheet effect to the sheet you want to cut holes in and leave it at the default settings. If there are any other sheet effects on the same sheet make sure you move the Color Key to the top of the list.

Then when you draw anything in solid style with colour 6 (magenta) on that same sheet, that line or shape will be cut out of the other polygons on the sheet.

help, I can't get the color key to work. I have Color Key at the top of the effects, but the only time a shape turns magenta is when I select it to Move or Erase the shape. What might it be that I'm doing wrong??

It might be that the magenta polygon isn't on top of all the other polygons on that sheet. It needs to be on top of all the rest to be able to cut through them.

Try turning the sheet effects off so you can see where the magenta is.

it is on top -- that's the first thing I checked! That and turning effects off.

I just look a look at the file. The color in the color key has to match the color you draw with. I used change properties and switched the orange to the magenta (color 6) and it cut out just fine.
