I've been (re)reading P.C. Hodgell's Chronicles of the Kencyrath, and decided to take a stab at interpreting the world map. It seemed to me like Herwin Wielink's style is a great fit for the feel of this world (though there are a few others as well that I might also try).
I still have quite a bit of work to do, but I made a good start today.
Here's the original by Ms. Hodgell that I'm working from:

Made good progress this morning. I got the Riverlands inset finished, and I think I've got most everything put in the Southern Wastes (though I need to make room to label the actual Wastes). I got the Escarpment around the Wastes finished up as well.
What font is that?
It fits very nicely.
Heh, thanks. I was thinking the same thing. It's a little hard to read so I went through every other font on my system looking for one I liked better, but this one really fits the map and the books it's based on.
It's CrEAtoR cAmpoTYPe SmcP. I looked for a link to share, but I can't find it in any of the usual font sites. Don't remember where I got it, now.
All right, I think I'm calling this one done.
