Wall Overlap Causes Wall to Disappear in SS3

I'm trying to draw walls using SS3. The problem is that if I overlap the corners to finish the building, then where it overlaps, part of the wall disappears. On the other hand, if I don't overlap, then there is a chunk missing in that corner.

So, how can I fix this?

It does disappear if there is overlap.

Not on my computer, but try the end point commands on the right side to connect the walls.

Disappearing parts during overlap happens because the same line overlaps itself. There are several ways to avoid or fix this:

    • Don't start drawing at a corner. If the start/end is in the middle of a length of wall you don't need any overlaps
    • Build the walls using more than one path. If they are not the same entity, you don't get the disappearing problem.
    • Use tools like Combine Path or Path to Poly to combine the lines to make the corners actual corners and not just "meeting points of the ends"

  • Thanks, I just stopped starting at the corner. I haven't done a floorplan before.
