How to Import Existing Maps?
Hello, I just picked up this software during the humblebundle sale and was wondering how I can import maps from other software such as wonderdraft to work on? I already have something drawn up but was hoping that there is a way to just slap the outline clean in rather than having to painfully trace or guesstimate outlines again.

Hi Wyzilla :)
To use the existing map as a background image you can import the bitmap image to your map using 'Insert file...' from the Draw menu.
If you want to convert it completely in a semi-automated fashion you will need to reduce the elements you want to use to a silhouette shape in black on a transparent background at a reasonably high resolution, import the image as above, and then use the TRACED command to get CC3 to automatically trace the shape as a polygon.
How do you use traced for an import image and more importantly just fill it in?
To use TRACED you need to have a silhouette shape. For example, if you have a land shape you particularly don't want to have to draw all over again in CC3 it is easier to use one of the free bitmap editors, like GIMP, to select and delete the oceans and (I thought this was necessary, but apparently not) turn the rest black...
The example in this blog isn't a silhouette, so maybe you don't have to go that far - only remove the oceans and leave that part transparent. There's more information on exactly how to do this here:
I had a few hundred 5mm hexagon map pages to convert to maps.
I scanned them, then imported into this software as jpg in their own sheet and layer, used that as a guide to make the maps.
