Invalid License

I just got this message today when opening Campaign Cartographer and it wouldn't save my work. I fixed it quickly by reinstalling the latest update, but does anyone know how or why this would happen?

    It could happen if the program configuration was somehow corrupted. Difficult to say what could have caused that though. Did you have any crash or similar before it happened?

    I got the same thing myself the other day. It turned out that the file CC3 was trying to open was corrupted. I now suspect I corrupted it by shutting the system down while CC3 was still open with that file, which I hadn't saved.

    I was really tired the previous day.

    Opening any other file was fine. Just not that one.

    My program has been crashing when I try to add the lighting effects to my recent dungeons. I only attempted to open CC3 with the one map so I don't know if it would have opened another file if it would have worked okay.
