How to use Blend 16 colors option in color palette

If I click on the Blend 16 Colors button in the color palette, it just crashes the program.
Is there a correct way to use this or is there just a bug with that button? (all the other palette buttons seem to work fine, but CC3+ just hesitates for a couple of seconds and then closes when I hit Blend 16 Colors)

I'm not having that problem myself.
Which colour do you have picked?
I would guess one of the first eight colors, where the blend dark would go below 0 index. You should generally only pick color 40 or above for this work, because color values 31 and below are special system colors.
I've put this on the bug list to get some attention.
I usually take care to pick the one in the middle of the row that I want blended before I press that button.
Hi - I probably wasn't picking a color to start - I just hit the blend 16 button thinking it would then let me select colors to blend between. Without anything selected, that button consistently crashes/shuts down my CC3Plus. If I do select a color first, it does give me various shades of that color. But the default palette already gives you 16 shades of each color in each row, so I'm still not understanding what Blend 16 does.
It's usefull when you want a set of shades from a different base color than the ones from the default palette.
