What the world might have looked like 60 million years ago

For this map I used the data that can be found here or here. I have converted the data so that can be imported into Wilbur. Within Wilbur I followed the instructions of "One Day World Builder" (Annual issue 155) to make the rather rough data looking more natural. Thereafter I generated the rivers in FT3 and exported the map to CC3+. The above picture is a pure CC3+ output with a layer for shading with a normal-map exported from FT3+.

Excellent stuff!
Wow! @WeathermanSweden, this is wonderful!
I mean, the map per se is cool, the fact that it is the earth 60 mya is even cooler! And with raw data!
Himalaya was all around China!! Italy was an Iland! No Baltic sea!
Question: what is Wilbur?
@AleD - Wilbur is a progam by Joe Slayton (FT3 and FT3+) that can handle more file types than FT3 and it also can convert files and much more. It works nicely together with Fractal terrains. It can be found here
I'd love to have one to do Pangaea; Gondwana and Laurasia and Earth when it reforms into one continent again
.
This looks terrific. The human life only came into existence/evolved to humanity like 200k years ago. It's interesting to look at it from a different perspective. :D
