Deselecting

Hi!

When I select button "Select properties", click the target houses floor, and then draw the bow with the cursor so that its around the house, I also get other things with it, so how can I deselect the ones from the floor changing that I dont want. Heres a picture what I mean:

During the process of selecting when you get extra items; Right click again, go to the Combine part of the menu. Select Not.

Then select those items you don't want to be part of the selection. You may need to zoom in under some circumstances.

Then do it.

Another method is to just hold down Ctrl and click on something to deselect it.

If possible, I reccomend the Ctrl and Click. I personally have found it easier than the combine part. Of course sometimes you have no choice.

Combine is super nice when you want to specify more advanced criteria, but yea, if it is something that is easy to just click on, I prefer the Ctrl myself.

If you do use the "combine" method, then typing the N key (don't hold it down) is a shortcut for "right click > combine > not"

I tend to use the combine method out of habit, because I've been using "combine>not" "combine>and(both)" and "combine/or" since CC-DOS. With shortcuts N, B, O (default selection is OR).
