Map projection in CC3 of imported worlds from FT3

So this is a world imported from Fractal Terrains 3. By default, it's been translated into something like the Goode projection, like as if it's designed to be printed and cut out and the sides of the triangles cut out to form something vaguely spherical. I get the intent. But for me as a layperson, and my hypothetical largely-lay audience, it's pretty much unintelligible in the flat form. Is there any way I can convert it to a more joined-up form?

That's the result you get if you export it using the "Cosmographer Template" option (It is basically formatted for the Traveller System).

If you just use File -> Save Campaign Cartographer File, you should get a more "normal" result.

Where's that? Here's the options under "export" in FT3:

And these are the Save As filetype options in FT3:

But when I save the state from the OP in CC3 (as Campaign Cartographer 3 FCW Drawing, the default option), it doesn't change anything?

  • Never mind, found it 😅 sorry for being dense lol
