[CC3] Select by color using color sample

Hello,

I was watching a live mapping video and saw the presenter use select by color, but he was able to select a color on the map instead of going to a color palette or typing in a color number. Unfortunately he did it very quickly so I couldn't see how he did it. Does anyone know how he did that?

I didn't even know there was a select by color so this is good info to have.

Select something, like erase, and then right click while your pointer is over the map.

Color is one of the selections.

That part I know, but he was able to "sample" a color on the map (he clicked a landmass to get the color) without going to the palette.

That would be the Like modifer (F2). Just press F2 after selecting select by color (or fill style or line style, etc) and CC3+ should ask you to pick an entity to take the property from.

Ah, didn't know that.

You can also click on the medicine dropper, but that choose the color, sets the width, and the sheet (layer) you are on.
