Symbol Creation

Greets, fellow artists!

Quick question:

When you dare to create your own symbol from a map you happen to be working on, the dialogue box pops up wherein you set various parameters of the new symbol and then click, 'OK', where is the new symbol saved to? What file? folder?

I cannot find a recent symbol I created anywhere on my machine---not via the name I set for it, at least.

The symbol is stored in the current map. You can find it by hitting the Symbols in Map button, or in the symbol manager (from where you can also save it to a new file)
