I have had CC3+ for a while but haven't started working with it until recently. Right now I'm trying to create a city map for my current campaign - I watched Joe Sweeney's tutorial series but something he had no trouble doing is not working for me. After I created a city wall, he said to put down watchtowers. I can place them ok but when I switch to another command they immediately disappear, I feel like they are being added UNDER the wall for some reason. Is this a sheet problem or am I just doing something wrong?

It's most likely a Sheets issue. See the "My symbols disappear when I scroll/zoom" question on this Forum topic page.
It sounds very much like a sheet ordering problem by the way you describe it.
The towers are still there, but hidden by things on other sheets drawn after they are drawn. You can find out which sheet they are on using the List tool in the Info menu. Whichever sheet that is may need to be moved down the list below the wall sheets in the Sheets and Effects dialog.

@Wyvern - Remy set up a red warning flag that appears if someone else has just made a comment while you are writing your own. We must have clicked post at exactly the same time. Or you must have clicked post at the same time that I hit the first letter of the first word when I started making my own comment.
