can Move polygon but can't select do anything else!

I've got a polygon that I can select to Move (and it will move) but it won't allow itself to be selected to Deleted or to be moved to another sheet. It's the same as I uploaded for my previous question - https://forum.profantasy.com/discussion/comment/102341#Comment_102341

It's probably on a frozen layer (click on the Layers button and then on the little F checkbox next to your current layer). There is a bug in the MOVQ command that allows you to select elements on frozen layers.
no, the Hull layer isn't frozen, @jslayton .
If you are talking about the main starship hull, it isn't on the HULL layer in your drawing, it is on the HEX/SQUARE GRID, which is frozen.
in that case, why is the sheet HULL there?
It is on the HULL sheet. Remember that sheets and layers are two different things, and all entities are associated with both a sheet and a layer. As for the HULL layer, that's where it is supposed to be, your polygon have ended up on the wrong layer for some reason.
When diagnosing problems with entities, it is important to check where they actually are, not just rely on where they were supposed to be. The List tool (from the info menu) is a great way to check this.
the Info listing is virtually unreadable on my laptop, sadly. sometimes I can read it but not always. it's the white text on blue is the problem :(
A workaround for reading the LIST output is to select Save to Clipboard form the system menu of the list window, and then paste the text into a text editor of your choice. A bit cumbersome if you need it a lot, but at least it allows you to get the text into a window where you can control the readability yourself.
