Artifact on Wall Intersection
Hi Guys,
I'm trying to map a small fortifications cellar and would like to have a circular section joined on to a straight section. I am trying to use the technique in Ralfs excellent "odd shaped dungeon rooms" tutorial. I have drawn an outline on a new sheet and then creating a polygonal room over it using "snap to intersection" and "trace" to pick up the points where the circle & vertical lines meet
It all seems to work well enough but there is an artifact at the corner where the vertical line intersects the circle on the left hand side. I have tried making my pink outline lines extend no further than the circle, but still see the same efect.
Is there something I have missed here, or a way to correct this?
Thanks very much in advance,
James

Can you post the .fcw file so I can have a look at the actual entities?
Thanks Monsen, I have attached the file.
The artifact is small but becomes more apparent at a greater wall width (I intend to increase the wall width to around 10 feet to represent the thick foundations)

It's caused by an extra node in there. Use Delete Node to remove it. It can be a bit tricky to target properly, but if you zoom a bit out and place your pick cursor where I have indicated in the image, you should get it (I zoom out, because that makes the pick cursor larger compared to the entity, making it easier to get inside the aperture, it is a nice trick, because zooming out is often counterintuitive in these situations.) If you don't get it on the first try, just try a couple of times.
Thank you Monsen, it is very kind of you to take the time to look at this. On reflection I should have been able to use the List and Delete Node commands and work this out for myself...
