How do I turn off the lines you see along contours and rivers? (TOGGLE FRAMES)

I know this has been asked and answered before, but my search for it is fruitless and I suspect it is something simple like F5.

Try Ctrl+F (toggle frames). I perpetually keep hitting Ctrl+F to try to find text. Not sure what i'd do with the text if I found it, but the reflex is there.

Thanks. I kept pushing the function buttons. Probably not the best idea.
