Any way to make symbols less defined?
I've been creating a map with Hans Anders Bergström's Watercolor style from the 2019 Annual. I like the style a lot, and I'm quite pleased with how the map looks. I especially like how you can add a barely visible texture beneath the watercolors to give them a slight definition.
The one thing I'm not pleased with, and is the reason for the post, is that most added symbols do not match the scene well because the symbols are very well defined and the background is only slightly defined.
If I make the symbols less transparent, then the watercolors underneath can be seen, and it looks worse.
Is there any way to fix this problem in CC3+, such as making the symbols a little blurry? Is this a problem that I would have to fix outside of the program, such as editing the symbols in Photoshop?
