Messed with filter settings and now I crash

I was messing around with filter settings trying to find some trees and have done something so that now when I click where the purple arrow points I see an hourglass and then the program crashes. I'm not sure where to go to fix that.

I sorted it out. I clicked on one of the toolbar buttons just above and the tools filled up again.
