Random City Generator

Hiya,

Firstly, MASSIVE KUDOS to the Lee Saunders for the Random City Generator. AMAZING!

Secondly, if you want to use other roads, is it something you can set when using the generator (or before)? i.e. I would like a cobblestone road rather than just one colour. The same for walls can we change it to something else.

I can't remember off the top of my head if you can change the road texture while you are using the Random City Generator, but you can change the properties of the roads afterwards using the Change Properties tool . It is probably best to do this after you have hidden all the sheets except the ROADS sheet, so that you only get the roads.

You can use the Change Properties tool to change the properties for any polygon, but if the walls you are referring to are symbols it won't work like that. Have you got a screen shot of your map so that we can see what you are doing?

Thanks for the reply Loopysue, I can see other colours but not the option of the paved road there can I use that?

I have managed to do the cobblestone pattern for the floor now so just have to go over the walls with the wall icons/towers. Thanks.

That's good :)

The walls and towers could be done the same way as the roads but you have chosen to go with symbols, which is fine.

I haven't used the Random City Generator for any settlement yet - I must do that.
