Windows in Walls

Well it seems to be a good Friday morning for questions:

I have a simple 0.5 Stonewall and want to put Windows in it. Isn´t there a feature which is cutting the wall automatically ?

at the moment the windows and Doors are simply on top of the wall - yes i can cut my self of course but you know it just would be a bit simple to get the window to do the work ;-)

Ok one mistake could be that I did not create the walls with the "default wall" tool but - first drew lines and then converted them into a path

They need to be on the right sheet and layer for the windows to recognise them as walls.

Draw a short and temporary section of wall using the default wall drawing tool and use List on it (Info menu) to find out which sheet and layer they need to be on, and then hide all but the walls and use Change Properties on them to move them to the right place.

Once you have done that the doors and windows should cut them perfectly.

The layer MUST be WALLS. I have learnt this from bitter experience, and still wear the scars of anguish and nightly torment ?
