How do I edit a symbol attribute's colour?

Hi all,

Have started using CC3 for work and the surveyor has sent me some .dxf files of the project. All of the symbols have tags that are attributes and I want to change the text's colour but can't find how in help.

Any help will be greatly appreciated,

Thanks,
Aiden

  • You can try the "Define Attribute" command. To use it, select a color, then select "Symbols" then "Define Attribute". You can then change the text for that symbol's textual attribute and it should become the color you selected. I don't have a lot of experience with using text attributes (tags) in symbols, but this is what worked for me in an experiment I just completed.
  • I'm not getting this to work properly, I get the Define Attribute dialog box, but how do I select which symbol I want to change the attribute of. I tried typing in the number of the attribute but nothing happens after hitting ok.
Is there something basic I'm missing here, could you go through it step by step for dummies like me please.
    Thanks
