Help with fixing a bug where drawing tools and standard images have became black?

Hi, new to CC3+ and was enjoying learning the tools until encountering this bug. Many of (but not all) the draw tools and standard images show as black both in the tool tip and when used. Any idea on how to fix this as it has really halted my progress in a frustrating way as I cannot find any fixes online.

Those are varicolor symbols (see the black square in the top right of each symbol) where part of the symbol takes on the currently selected color. Just change to a different color by clicking the color indicator on your status bar.
