Changing color for Vegetation in DD3 symbols.
Hello,
I am trying setup a couple of trees on a Dungeon (made of metal). One should be Silver in color and the other should be Gold.
However, when I change the color of one, it changes the color of the other one.
I've tried to put them on separate sheets, that did not work, neither did separate layers.
How can I set both items to be separate colors?

I can't reproduce this.
When you change the colors of the trees, are you actually editing the color in the palette? If you do that, you'll need to use a different color position for each tree, the palette in CC3+ is an indexed palette with 256 colors, so you cannot reuse the same color slot for different colors, if you do that, you would see all the entities using that color slot change at the same time.
Also, to make palette changes stick, make sure to re-attach it to the drawing after changing it, using the Attach to Drawing button in the
dialog.

Hi Sulimo :)
Would you be willing to share the FCW file so we can have a play?
Use a different varicolor tree for the second one.
If you use the same one, what happens is what you see for now.
Just woke up so I hope that made sense.
That certainly shouldn't happen, you should be able to change the color of individual varicolor trees both before and after placing them. How are you going on changing their color, are you using Change Properties?
Ah, sorry for my mistake.
Yes, I am using Change Properties to change the color of the trees.
I did try different varicolor symbols for each tree. That did not help.
The other annoying thing is that often when after I change colors, they change back to green.
I do have some reservations about sharing the fcw file.
I'll go ahead and attach it for now though. Removed file.
Thanks for the file, Sulimo
I am not having any trouble with this at all.
The only way I can think that you are having trouble with them both changing, or reverting to a different colour, is if you are doing this by editing the colours in the colour palette instead of using the Change Properties tool.

This sounds like what I am seeing, I was defining the colors in the palette, that way I could enter the values directly (RGB 212,175,55 for gold and 192,192,192 for silver).
I think that fixed it.
I was using Change Properties, then using the color palette there to define the colors.
It's best to stick to using the Change Properties tool alone and pick the colours that are there, since the palette will revert to default next time the map is opened. You can save a palette, and then save it in the map. You can make your own colour palettes, but that's just going off on a tangent right now.
