Adding Lights to a house (SOLVED)

I was trying to mess around with lighting somewhat, and while I love the wall shadows this ss2 adds, it leaves the insides a bit dark at times. Was trying to add some lights to the corners, and I just can't get it right. I either turn the whole screen black, or yellow, while trying to mess with sheet effects. I've been tryin' to find something to help, but couldn't stumble on something I could understand.
Anyone able to help with this please?

If it is just things getting to dark in the shadows, maybe consider just lowering the opacity of the Wall Shadow effect instead of trying to add point lights?
The point light system is a completely different way of creating shadows, and doesn't work with the well shadow effect. Which means that if you want to use it, you can't just set up a light source in the dark corner, you have to properly set up lighting for the entire room.
Thanks for the recommendation should work for what I was lookin' to do. Not sure why somethin' that simple didn't come to mind haha
