Problems with CD3 Installation

I just bought the Humble Bundle collection a few days ago and am trying to install things. I've installed CC3 already and am now trying to install City Designer 3. Unfortunately, I am having some issues. When trying to run the .exe for install (CD3SetupForCC3Plus.exe), it takes a few minutes for anything to get started. Once the computer asks if I want to run the .exe and I conform, it takes another few mins for anything to happen. Once the installation wizard appears and I enter my serial number, it informs me that there is no copy of CC3 installed and closes, even after I confirm I have a working copy of CC3. Any ideas as to what's going on?

Try to first reboot your computer, then follow up by installing the latest update for CC3+ (downloadable from your reg page) before trying to install CD3 again.
There are also cases when antivirus software have interfered with the installs, so it is also worth trying to temporary disable your antivirus software. You can also ensure that the install really does run with administrative privilegies by right clicking the installer and select run as admin instead of just double clicking on it.
If none of that helps, I recommend you contact tech support.
