Looker for Mapper for Commission Work

I am searching for a map maker who can create a map using the One Day World Builder.

I have a CC3+ map as a template, but the new map does not have to match it completely.

PM me for details and to make arrangements.

Thank you for your time and attention.

    Hi rexalan :)

Maybe, since there don't seem to be any takers right now, I could help you do this yourself if you start a WIP thread?

I'm afraid I'm in the same boat as everyone else right now - work up to the eyeballs!

  • Ms. Loopysue,

Thank you for the kind offer. I am working on this myselve, and have a volunteer to drive themselves crazy at the same time. We shall see who finishes or cracks first.

When I have something to post (maybe by Tuesday) I will put it up. Of course, I will have to figure how to post a map first. But I have plenty of time on my hands.

You should be able to post an image up to 2MB in size using the upload button.  JPG images of around 2000 px in width seem to be fine - slightly wider than that if the depth is relatively shallow.

  • This is one of the land massess I am trying to replicate in FT3 for use with the One Day World Builder:

  • And this is the first attempt in FT3:

Having trouble making the coast uneven enough. Have thought about making the land mass bigger, and then scaling it down once it has been rendered in CC3+.

  • And a different second effort:

Having trouble making hills without getting mountains, and getting rid of mountains and hills without creating lakes. I understand that lakes can cause problems later in the process.

Suggestions would be appreciated. Positive reinforcement would also be welcome.

Thank you in advance for both.

  • Sue, Rexalan has already emailed me, and I have started on it.

    @Quenten - that's great :smile:

Looking forward to seeing the result
