I don't see a way to choose one of the other built-in avatars

If you click on the upload wording at the top you can pick any image on your phone or computer to upload. I just grabbed my usual mouse image for mine.
But I think the other built-in avatars are better than me looking out at everyone. I have one of Batou from Ghost in the Shell, but he isn't very friendly. I'll see what I can find.
There aren't any default avatars to choose from. The default avatar if you don't upload one is randomly generated based on a hash of your email address. So if you don't like it, you must upload something
