Selecting symbols of the same type

Based on the selection capabilities I see and what I've been able to find in the forums, I don't think this is possible, but thought I would ask, just in case.
I wanted to keep symbols such as hills and mountains on separate sheets but, in my haste, forgot to change the active sheet before placing them. They are all mixed up together. I would like to select all of the hills (without clicking each one) and move those, then do the same with the mountains. Even though the name for each of the hill symbols starts with "Hills" and the mountain symbols start with "Mountains", it doesn't seem possible to select by that. I don't see anything that differentiates hill symbols from mountains when I do a list. Is there anything I can key off of for a select to get all of a one type of symbol at once?
