Unable to open temporary BMP file

I've successfully exported my first map to a PNG file, but I tried to export a new map today and I always get this error message. I've tried saving in a different folder, running CC3 as admin, nothing works, and I haven't changed any settings since exporting my first map. Any ideas what's wrong?

You interrupted the save as to a png file. Resave as and let the process complete.

Can you save the map under a different name? Or does it happen with any new PNG file you save? Can you still save a JPG file?

I'm not interrupting anything. The command prompt appears for two seconds but no text in it, then I get the error message above.

Same result when renaming or trying a different image type or rendering a smaller portion of a map or even rendering a different map. I'm stumped.

This can happen if the export errors out, so the temporary bitmap is never being made in the first place. What is your export resolution set at? And your antialiasing setting?

If anti-aliasing is on, try to turn it off and see if you can export then. If it is already off, try to reduce the image dimensions.

The max size you can export is heavily influenced by the complexity of the current map, as well as your available memory. Sometimes, CC3+ won't be able to reserve enough memory, which can cause the export to fail. Rebooting the computer may help in that scenario.

When I save as png, it finishes and a png results. No temporary file left on my computer.

I don't see any problems. Maybe Ralf or Quenten will see something I don't.
