Has anyone used Gplates (gplates.org) with FT3? I haven't been able to find anyone talking about this on the interwebs.

For world building purposes, it seems like perhaps they both end up at the same place by different approaches? I know it has been said that FT3 doesn't use plate tectonics and that's something that was on the wishlist.

I tried Gplates once a very long time ago and gave up. The app is fiendishly difficult to use (well, that's how I found it anyway)

At the present moment in time FT3 doesn't do plate tectonics. Nor does it do ocean currents or wind patterns, but these last two things are pretty easy to do by hand, and the default climate can be modified using painting tools.

I have no idea if there are any common file types that could facilitate transfer between Gplates and FT3. You're best bet is to check the export and import file types available for both to see if there is a match.
