  • WIP - Largo Cripts

Started to work on supporting battle maps - beginning with the chapel.

I used the room tool to create the rough layout and got this artifact, tried it a couple of times and got the same result - any suggestions on what I'm doing wrong?

Great thoughts - I usually pencil out my drafts; but I think this has convinced me to start working my drafts out in C3 . This has a double advantage: being able to hand out a rough map to players and more time working in C3 usually means learning more!

    Wayward Casino

Located in the front of the Wayward Inn, the Casino is run by Dapper Dan and order is maintained by Sweetie (Lead Bouncer) and her crew.

The doors behind the bar lead to the kitchen, beyond that is the Inn’s main dinning room. There are no windows and the only public entrance is the foyer off the street. On either side of the Common Casino are a set of stairs leading to a balcony and the “Rent by Hour” rooms. The Common Casino also has a small stage – currently playing are “Bletcher” Smites (Various Instruments) and Uvaldi (Singer).

The Casino takes 15% of each pot and charges table fees that range from a few coppers to 5 gold pieces. Games include: Poker, Cheater’s Poker, Whist, Roulette, Various Dice. There is also “Barrel Riding” contests where two opponents face each other standing on the barrel and exchange slaps.

The Casino is usually well attended with weekends being extremely busy.

    1.      Used Color Key on Grid. What a wonderful solution – I had been playing around trying to find a way. As soon as it was mentioned, I slapped my forehead and shouted “Duh”.

    2.     Moved “Balcony” floor to its own layer, adjusted stairways

    3.     Aligned Text sections.

    4.     Enlarged base drawing – thanks, again a great suggestion

I use the hex grid since it is intended to be a battle map, and it displays well on our home made tabletop.

Tomorrow is a travel day, so no more work until Sunday. As always - any comments or suggestions are welcome!!!

Added blank space filler, used a combination of Select Grid points and knock out for final grid. Think I'm on to the next one, unless anyone spots something else. Thanks All!!!!

  • A small frontier fort....and dead bodies....

Nice layout - looks like it would make a good run.

Thanks! This is Marine/Darklands/Schley/CSUAC/DA I had fun with the summoning circle - added simple circles with glow effects going from blue, green, yellow, to red. The inner circle also used a lava fill.

Still having a hard time getting the grid to render clearly - if you zoom in, you can barely spot it. I've tried several different renders - even over driven glows.

    Hypocaust

A faint smell of wood smoke permeates the area. Dirt and soot-stained flagstone floors, a low ceiling (5’6”) with stone pillars (that support the floors above). In one corner is a deep, spring fed, cistern. The opposite corner has stacks of wood. The main furnace stands in the center of the undertower, with three smaller furnaces for colder days.

The Hypocaust is maintained by Grom 3 (DNNA/Slave). Grom is short but broad shouldered and over the years has been listening to the classes above him learning some of the arcane sciences. Grom lives in the Hypocaust along with a calico mouser named Niger.

A recent event has caused a partial collapse of a wall opening access to the area under the main lecture hall – this area has taller ceilings with two graves at one end, and an alter at the other end.

Side note – the arcane circle on the tower roof is enhanced by all four elements:

Air – represented by the tower roof

Water – directly above the cistern in the Hypocaust

                Earth – also above bedrock

Fire – represented by the incense burners

  • The Egg - a space maintenance vechicle

KertDawg - Not sure yet, thinking of setting limits, like powered for 24 hours plus 6 reserve. Propulsion will be provided by a pair of cylinder shaped engines located under the bottom of the unit. The next couple of days are pretty hectic - I'll probably start on it later in the week.
