I'm not that much of a dungeonmapper, but I'll try to make one.

It's a great way to get me away from my usual WW2 or postapocalyptic overland maps - testing and learning something new is always fun. Cool!

Yup, I'm nearly there. The last city blocks, a few more garden details, and numbers for special buildings. Then it's finally done 😁

I'm so happy about having participated in this contest - I learned so much about battlemaps (while usually doing WW2 regional maps) that I was able to start new projects with battlemaps / floorplans.

Since I love making maps for MYZ and our zombieapocalypse game Biohazard, I would totally love such an annual. So far, I'm mostly using the WW2 regional style for the genre, or do my MYZ maps in a regular drawing software.

An annual for this would be neat.

The scale model websites are a nice idea, I guess I might find all that I'm looking for there. Splendid!

Usually, for such symbols, I work in a regular graphics program, so the different layers make for different details or colours. So one image in the program can be split into 3-4 different map symbols with different colours or details.

I might really get into drawing more for this - which is a nice side effect.

We use a simple 2d6 game we created based on Barbarians of Lemuria.

We had a first adventure for Halloween - dimensional portals, strange creatures, and in the end, the characters realised they were genetically engineered and altered people from the other side, actually. Who were brought to our dimension like changelings, who grew up thinking they were human. Now they will find out more about their true nature, while still trying to stay themselves. All while the other side invades their hometown.

We were having such a blast we'll do a whole campaign in the city. 😁

The smooth clouds in the background are a free, huge texture I found online and put on a sky background sheet with high transparency. Just for a bit extra looks.

(one time I really use clouds for that. Most other maps I do tend to involve a mold texture somewhere in the background lol)

That's indeed true, I definitely need to add some more details and a bit of smaller roads breaking this up.

Hello to you mappers,

I got some kind of a weird looking request.

Since I do a lot of mapping for Achtung!Cthulhu or other more modern military TTRPGs, I often end up needing symbols for military vehicles, larger weapons, military tents, modern guard towers etc. in a top view.

And to be safe when using those maps on websites or RPG projects and adventures, those symbols need to be creative commons or allow for commercial usage somehow.

I use a lot of stuff from CSUAC/Dundjinni, but I need more.

Do you know any sources besides drawing them by hand (which wouldn't look too good in my case)?
