Hi from Tony (aka. Tonnichiwa) {Now with actual pictures}
Wow Quenten, I had no idea you kept all of my video's. I don't even have them anymore.
I thought about starting that back up again but with Ralf and Monsen doing their videos I am not sure I would be able to offer any more than they already do. I also had no idea you kept copies of those maps. That's really cool!
Yeah, I have been wanting to get them up into the gallery, I just haven't done it yet. And so you know, I've been secretly working on the city of Nyxotos in the Kalliochos Republic of the atlas. But I keep seeing flaws in my work that I want to fix so I haven't even come close to finishing it yet. It is done in the style of Mok Torkan so it should look really good when it's done.
EDIT: Ok, I've added a few more maps to my gallery.

@ Medio
Yeah, we could! What I used to do for the Navy was Operations Specialist. That's the guy that runs the surface radar, the air traffic controller radar, receives all of the top secret communications and translates them back into English, navigates the ship using Dead Reckoning Tracers and other navigating equipment, and too many other things to list.
@ Quenten
Lol, yeah, that was a strange time. Nothing in my childhood was normal, well from an American standpoint anyway. Good to hear from you too Quenten.
@ Loopysue
Yep, very strange. Story of my life it seems. Yeah, I need to get to mapping again. But I keep getting distracted because I am still trying to learn to code. I've got most of the HTML language down and the same with CSS (Cascading Style Sheets). Now I'm working on learning Javascript. Sometimes I wonder how all of you computer coders out there were ever able to learn all of this stuff!
@ Monsen
I do too Monsen, it tickles me every time I think about the fact that I actually get to make armor for the military of an actual country. It is a very old tradition and now I am part of that tradition. But, to be honest, I did make a suit of armor for myself when I was in my 20's, though it was made of hot rolled 16 gauge steel and in the style of the Samurai. A guy I knew back then saw me wearing it and asked me to join his painting group as a model wearing the armor. So I went to the studio, which was a very rich persons house in the Seattle area, (yes, they had servants and everything) and went upstairs to sit for a portrait. When it was done, the person who painted the best one actually gave me the painting, so of course I gave it as a gift to my mother.
My twin brother and I used to look more like each other when we were younger, but things changed when we got older. But sometimes we still finish each others sentences and say the exact same thing at the exact same time that we were both thinking. It really freaks out his wife and grandchildren.

City of Nyxotos for the Community Atlas
@Wyvern Ok, I guess I got the impression that it was more like the Italian city states during the middle ages because he mentioned that they were a hellenic-venetian republic. That venetian republic part is what I concentrated on most because there aren't really any hellenic symbols that I can find that would fit the Mike Schley style very well but there were venetian style buildings. And from what I remember about the venetian republics, they had walled cities. Anyway, thanks for the comments, they are very appreciated as you help me think about this better and help me get the map to become more clear in my head.
@DoubleDouble I'm not sure if the walls going out into the ocean are a historical thing but it is certainly something that you see in a lot of fantasy art. For instance, google the "City of Waterdeep" and you will see that the artists portrayed that city as having the city walls extend out into the ocean. So that is what I am using as a reference for this. As far as the straight wall on the left hand side is concerned, remember that the map is not complete yet. That straight wall is actually a wall used to separate part of the city from the other. The foreign district will be on the other side of that wall and the main city wall will curve a little more and the whole city will look more circular when it is complete. I've also tried to change the sea wall on the eastern side of the map so it is a little more circular than what you see in this picture. Hopefully I can get this to work as the buildings i'm using to make the wall can be tricky to work with and have them still look like they naturally connect to one another.

(WIP) City of Mok Torkan
Thanks guys. Glad you like it.
This stuff comes with the regular cc3+ overland style, so you can do it right now, without the perspectives 3.
So I have finished the map, and decided against adding too much stuff to the outside. It just made it look too cluttered. So I added ten spots of interest, some animals and a few trees and I'm calling it good.

City of Nyxotos for the Community Atlas
Oops!
lol, like I said, out of practice. Honestly I didn't think there were any trees around the city as the larger picture from the area around Nyxotos has it surrounded by farmland. And around where I live they pull up all of the trees when they have large plots of farmland that looks like the type found in the farmland bitmap area. So I went with that. And yes, I forgot about a road leading into/out of the town. Doh! I knew I was forgetting something! I also tried putting a bitmap of cobblestones down around the town but it made the town look WAY too busy so I settled on the hills background bitmap. You can still sort of make out roads through the town if you look. They just aren't well defined.

WIP: Mega-dungeon, Dorag Skel Level 1A
Very nice Dungeon layout. I too like the idea of random dungeons like that. I like the bitmap fills you decided to use for this as well. It makes the dungeon seem a little more permanent because its carved out of stone and then the walls filled with bricks. Dungeons I've drawn in the past always seemed to me to be a little less permanent because I always chose a dirt type background instead of stone. My thinking was that the dirt would have been easier for goblins and other gribblies to dig through. Anyway, well done!
